Working together our employees are dedicated to the continuing objective of reducing the risk of injury by following safe work practices using common sense, good judgment, and the appropriate protective equipment. We believe in the prevention of workplace injuries through training for all our workers. The success of our safety is a result of our dedication, commitment, involvement, and participation of all personnel working together.
Work Area Safety
Safety is our number one priority at Brass Inc, without exceptions. Our training includes work area protection and our trucks are inspected prior to each day’s work. A detailed tailboard talk sheet is logged before each job begins to recognize any hazards that may be involved so that everyone can work safely.
Traffic Planning
Our training includes traffic protection from the Ontario Traffic Control Manual or Book 7. Where specific requirements for cones, flags, barriers and traffic personnel is applied prior to each job beginning so our work zones are safe.
Utility Work Protection Code
Crew members are trained on the Utility Work Protection Code. This training is reviewed and renewed regularly and is specific to each persons role and trade within the organization.
Site Access
At Brass Inc. we are regularly updating crew members accreditations and certifications to ensure we are ready, and authorized to complete work on a variety of restricted right of ways and secure sites.

Certifications, Associations, and Programs
RPRA Member
Ontario’s Hazardous Waste Program ensures liquid industrial and hazardous waste is properly stored, transported, recycled, recovered, and disposed to protect public health and the environment. Under this program, generators, carriers, and receivers of hazardous and liquid industrial waste must report their waste management activities to the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks.
